Our Director of Solutions, Kevin, is our solution expert when it comes to working out solutions to different project challenges and ensuring ‘all is well’ in each project delivery. He brings with him positive energy and an inspiring work ethic. Learn more about Kevin and his dedication to his role.

1. Can you share how you began your career journey working in technology?

Although I’ve always liked software development, I first started working as a system engineer during my early career to build up my overall IT knowledge. After gaining ample experience, I decided to move into software specialization when I got the opportunity to do so at V3.

2. What do you do at V3 and what does a typical workday look like?

It is mixture of happiness and work pressure. There are many tasks to do and projects to oversee daily, but in a nutshell, my role is to make sure all the projects are running smoothly, and to ensure that customers are happy about what we have delivered.

3. What’s the most challenging part of your job?

Each project has its unique challenges, so I would say it is having the perseverance to keep improving yourself. If there is no hard work, there is no improvement.

4. And also, the most rewarding?

Seeing the hard work be transformed into everyone’s happiness, and working in a team is like having another family.

5. What’s been your favourite project in your 16 years at V3?

Every project has been rewarding in itself, but if I must name something it would be V3Nity, our flagship software platform. It’s about making sure the entire solutions suite is running smoothly, overcoming the challenges in each project together with my team, and seeing how our solutions can contribute to not just the growth of the company, but also the society.

6. What is your message to anyone thinking about starting a career in tech?

Be diligent, work smart, constantly be open to upskill and learn new things, and also, have a collaborative mindset with your team members. Technology is a meaningful field which changes people’s lives. If you have chosen this field, you have picked a rewarding career choice.

7. What are three words you’d use to describe V3?

Resilient, Adaptive, Growth-mindset.

8. What’s something you’ve always wanted to learn?

I’ve always been interested in the piano and would like to learn as a hobby.
